Our Story

Welcome to the Ming Group, a Berlin-based collective with a proud 40-year history in the food and beverage industry, renowned for exceptional culinary experiences. Founded by Mrs. Chen and Mr. Fu in 2003 with the opening of the first Ming Dynastie at Brückenstraße 6, across the Chinese embassy, the founder's roots stem from the Fangshan and Fushan Townships of the Qingtian County within in the Zhejiang province. It is located near the city of Wenzhou which known for the production of buttons. Therefore, a lot of culinary roots within the Ming Group are from this area like the Qingtian Pancake on the Menu of Ming Dynastie. The founders began as dishwashers and waiters in Germany back in the 1980s, as the Qingtian County has one of the biggest overseas population in the West. Overcoming early challenges like being thrown out of supposedly their own restaurant, their hard work and passion for authentic Chinese flavors fueled the growth what has become a thriving business network. Now operating ten locations across Berlin. This growth includes the addition of Korean restaurants like Han BBQ, Coffee Hanjan, and Han Factory, which have broadened the group's culinary landscape beyond Chinese cuisine. Despite the hurdles faced along the way, each venture has provided invaluable lessons, helping refine the group’s approach and strengthen its commitment to quality. Our team is the heart of the Ming Group. Talented chefs craft each dish with creativity and expertise, while our friendly service staff strives to make every visit memorable. We combine traditional hospitality with constant innovation, ensuring that every dish and service reflect our dedication to excellence.
